Where we are today
avorahatch.com is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 2.2 at Level AA. Every page is keyboard-navigable, screen-reader friendly, and respects the reader\'s prefers-reduced-motion and prefers-color-scheme preferences. Color contrast is verified against 4.5:1 for body copy and 3:1 for large display type.
What we test
- · Automated axe-core scans on every release.
- · Manual keyboard-only walkthroughs of checkout, breed pages, and the brooder guide.
- · VoiceOver (macOS, iOS) and NVDA (Windows) screen-reader spot checks.
- · 200% browser zoom and 320 px viewport reflow checks.
- · Focus-visible outlines, skip-links, and aria-current on every page.
Known gaps
A few breed images do not yet have detailed alt-text describing comb shape or feather pattern; we are working through that. Customer-uploaded photos in our reviews section (forthcoming) will require alt-text at submit time before we ship that feature.
Reporting an issue
If something on this site doesn\'t work for you, tell us. Email access@avorahatch.com with a description of the page, the assistive technology you are using, and what went wrong. We aim to acknowledge within one business day and have a fix or workaround within ten.
