01 What we collect
When you place an order, we collect your name, shipping address, email, phone number, payment details (handled by our processor — we never see your full card number), and the breeds you ordered. When you visit the site, we log the IP address, country, page path, and user-agent of each request to keep our analytics honest. We do not use third-party tracking cookies and we do not run ad-network pixels.
02 Why we collect it
To pack and ship your chicks. To send shipment tracking. To respond to support emails. To prevent fraud. To improve site performance. That is the entire list.
03 Who we share it with
Our payment processor (Stripe) for the purpose of taking payment. The U.S. Postal Service for the purpose of shipping. Our email provider for the purpose of sending you order updates. We do not sell, rent, or trade customer data to third parties. Ever.
04 How long we keep it
Order records are retained for seven years to comply with U.S. tax and agriculture-traceability requirements. Site analytics are retained for thirteen months. You can request deletion of any other personal data at any time by emailing the address at left.
05 Your rights
You can request a copy of the personal data we hold about you. You can request correction or deletion. You can opt out of marketing email at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message. Residents of California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, and the EU/UK have additional rights under their local laws — we honor all of them on request.
06 Cookies
We use a single first-party session cookie to remember your cart between page loads. We do not use cookies for tracking or advertising. Disabling cookies will break checkout but nothing else.
07 Children
Avora is not directed to children under thirteen. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal data through our site, contact us and we will delete it.
08 Changes to this policy
We will post material changes here at least thirty days before they take effect, and email any active customers about substantive changes that affect them.
